Guess the Afrobeats song

Afrobeats is built on percussion, and the groove usually shows up in the first second. That makes the genre easy to recognise and harder to split into individual songs, since a lot of tracks share the same bounce. The voices do the separating.

Wizkid's smooth, unhurried delivery, Davido's high-energy hooks and Rema's melodic runs are each distinct once you know them. Asake mixes in fuji and amapiano, and his call-and-response choruses are a giveaway. CKay's "Love Nwantiti" travelled worldwide through short-form video, so plenty of players know it without knowing his name. Ayra Starr is the voice to learn among the newer artists, while Omah Lay and Oxlade lean slower and moodier. Many of these songs move between English, Pidgin and Yoruba or Igbo inside one verse, so a scrap of lyric can be harder to place than the beat. Fireboy DML completes the list.
