Rock is the genre where the first second often does the work. A guitar tone, a drum fill or a riff can identify a song before anyone sings, and the classics here are built on exactly that. Queen and Fleetwood Mac have intros that people know without knowing the titles.
This hub reaches further than most rock quizzes, though. Much of it is Japanese rock, with ONE OK ROCK, Mrs. Green Apple, VAUNDY, Saucy Dog and Novelbright, alongside Thai bands Tilly Birds and Three Man Down, and Måneskin from Italy. In those rounds the arrangements are busy and some vocals switch language mid-song, so listen to the guitars first. The Japanese bands often put the hook in the lead guitar line, and once you hear it you will know it. If you only know the anthems, start with Queen and Måneskin and work outwards.
